Senior History Communicator

This is an opportunity to join a motivated, high-performing team at Wellington’s group of dynamic and award-winning visitor attractions.

Museums Wellington manage a unique group of visitor experiences set in historic buildings. We are about to launch the next phase of the development of Wellington Museum and want to hear from people who can demonstrate strong concepts and out of the ordinary results telling stories in different mediums. The Museums Wellington group currently attract over 400,000 visitors a year which we want to keep growing through quality engagement that are full of surprise and delight for our visitors.

We need a creative and innovative history communicator to enthuse and inform our visitors on public history of Wellington including its cultural and social fabric using a full range of media. The Senior History Communicator will provide expert public history knowledge in response to media and public enquiries and be adept with social media channels.
