What We Do
Experience Wellington is the arts and culture heart of the capital.
We run six iconic Wellington experiences: City Gallery Wellington, Capital E, Wellington Museum, Space Place at Carter Observatory, Nairn Street Cottage, and the Cable Car Museum. We also support the operation of the New Zealand Cricket Museum.
Experience Wellington is the trading name for Wellington Museums Trust, a registered charity established in 1995 to independently manage some of Wellington’s cultural assets on behalf of Wellington City Council. As a charity, we rely on the generous support of individuals and organisations to help us provide world-class arts, heritage and science experiences that are accessible to all.
Working together with and for Wellington to create remarkable experiences that generate vitality, strengthening the city we love.
Engaged Curious Communities.
