Experience Wellington sites under the COVID Protection Framework

From Tuesday, April 5, you will no longer be required to present your My Vaccine Pass to enter our visitor sites – Wellington Museum, Capital E, Space Place, City Gallery Wellington, Cable Car Museum or Nairn Street Cottage.

Under the current ORANGE setting of the COVID Protection Framework, the following is required:

· Wear a face covering or mask

· Please stay home if you’re unwell

· Please follow the guidance of our staff and signage to keep everyone safe when sharing our spaces.

Do I need to show a My Vaccine Pass to enter? 

No, from Tuesday, April 5, you will no longer be required to present your My Vaccine Pass to enter our visitor sites – Wellington Museum, Capital E, Space Place, City Gallery Wellington, Cable Car Museum or Nairn Street Cottage.  

Do I have to scan or sign in? 

No, you do not have to sign or scan in, all QR code signage has been removed from our sites. You can continue to track your own visits manually through the NZ COVID Tracer app  

Do I have to wear a mask? 

Yes, while we are at Orange it is compulsory to wear a mask at our sites.  Wearing a mask or face covering is a requirement of entry. The exceptions are children under 12 years of age or if you hold an exemption card . You can remove face coverings to eat and drink.

What if I forget or lose my face covering on the way to the site?

When you arrive, please ask our Visitor Services team member if there is a disposable mask. Please note, not all facilities will have masks available at all times.

What are you doing to keep sites safe?

Our sites follow strict cleaning protocols. Face coverings are mandatory for visitors and staff in our public sites.
