Experience Wellington Job Listing

Fundraising Advisor

Fixed-term Full-Time

Experience Wellington has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and motivated Fundraising Advisor to join our team for a 12-month parental leave fixed term contract.

As a small organisation we punch above our weight, working together with and for Wellington to create remarkable experiences that generate vitality, strengthening the city we love. We offer incredible audience experiences across our six sites; Capital E, City Gallery Wellington, Wellington Museum, Space Place, Cable Car Museum and Nairn Street Cottage.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, and skilled fundraising professional who will lead and coordinate the implementation of strategies to optimise fundraising revenue particularly from community and grant-giving trusts.

You’ll work with the strongly collaborative Fundraising, Marketing and Communications team members to recognise, identify and develop innovative fundraising opportunities across the organisation including for our audience programmes.

If you are a proactive, solution-focused individual, eager to drive the grants programme to achieve maximum impact for funded projects, able to work across a variety of tasks and have excellent attention to detail then this role will suit you. You’ll ideally have worked in a grant role previously, have strong written and verbal communication skills and a proven ability in developing strong relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders. But most of all you will be a passionate advocate for the arts and culture sector.

What’s in it for you?

We are a great fun team with a strong passion for the work we do. Experience Wellington embraces flexible working and offers generous leave provisions including additional Christmas, wellbeing and bereavement leave. Other benefits include free te reo Māori lessons and access to EAP services.

If you want to work with like-minded community builders, passionate about creativity and culture we would love to hear from you. To join our team, please submit your CV, a cover letter and complete our online application form for our consideration.
