Te tūranga | The role
Capital E is based in Queens Wharf Wellington, with a sole focus on children and creativity. We are seeking highly motivated, energetic, warm and engaging people with the ability to build rapport with a wide range of visitors to join our visitor services team in PlayHQ.
We currently have two vacancies, both are permanent part-time roles offering a minimum of 12 hours per week with availability for weekend work desirable. Additional hours will be available on a monthly rostered basis.
In PlayHQ our immersive play space for under 5’s your warm and embracing approach will create a space where all visitors feel welcomed, valued and are able to explore in our safe and stimulating environment. Alongside that you will aid the team with effective and efficient administrative support.

Our ideal candidate will have:
- The passion to thrive on being ‘the face’ of an inspirational and innovative organisation.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to learning and using Te Reo Maori.
- Strong visitor engagement skills, confident to welcome visitors from all backgrounds enthusiastically and responsively, and confident in communicating with young people
- An interest in working with whanau, tamariki and rangatahi.
- A proactive, can-do approach with a commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
- Customer service experience.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to adapt to change in a unique work environment.
